Laboratory

The Laboratory of Experimental Geophysics has operations in many areas of applied geophysics (infrasonic acoustic, seismic, dynamics of explosive volcanoes) with particular attention to risk assessments and issues of civil protection. The laboratory is also involved in the development of electronic systems and hardware devices and software related to the field of applied geophysics. Center of Competence of the National Civil Protection since January 2005, it provides support in daily decision-making activities of the Office of Risk Assessment and Prevention National Civil Protection, with particular attention to the level of activity of Stromboli and Etna volcanoes.
