Thermal activity of explosive events is medium. The number of thermal transients in the NE sector of the crater (standard = 100) is high, 323. The amplitude of thermal transients is low, 0.2 ºF. Exit velocity of pyroclasts, estimated through thermal camera analysis, is medium, 37 m/s.

The volcanic activity is generally characterized by strombolian explosions, with ash emissions, located at the NE and C crater sectors, with puffing localized at the NE crater sector. In the last 24h, the Stromboli volcano showed a HIGH degassing activity (puffing with values of about 110 mbar). The explosive activity is MEDIUM (max acoustic pressure 0.93 bar). The number of explosions (thermal transients) are HIGH, with a LOW thermal amplitude and MEDIUM exit velocity of pyroclasts. The volcanic tremor shows HIGH values with an increasing trend. The number of VLP events showed HIGH values (18.5 events/hour). MODIS/VIIRS images showed NO thermal anomalies. SO2 flux shows MEDIUM values (last: 74 t/d recorded on the 09/05/2024), CO2 flux shows NO DATA (last: 462 t/d based on C/S value of 3.48 recorded on the 07/05/2024). The rockfall activity is LOW (Zero events detected). The volcanic activity index is HIGH.
