The volcanic activity is generally characterized by strombolian explosions, with ash emissions, located at the NE crater sector, and puffing localized mainly at the NE and C crater sectors. In the last 24h, the Stromboli volcano showed a HIGH degassing activity (puffing with values of about 120 mbar). The explosive activity is MEDIUM (max acoustic pressure 1.5 bar). The number of explosions (thermal transients) are HIGH, with a LOW thermal amplitude and LOW exit velocity of pyroclasts. The volcanic tremor shows HIGH values. The number of VLP events showed HIGH values (16.9 events/hour). MODIS/VIIRS images showed LOW thermal anomalies. SO2 flux, measured at the NE crater sector, shows MEDIUM values (112 t/d). The rockfall activity is LOW (Zero events detected). The volcanic activity index is HIGH.
