The volcanic activity is generally characterized by strombolian explosions located at NE and SW crater sectors, and puffing localized at the NE sector. In the last 24h, the Stromboli volcano showed a HIGH degassing activity (puffing with values of about 70 mbar). The explosive activity is MEDIUM (max acoustic pressure 0.5 bar). The number of explosions (thermal transients) are HIGH, with a MEDIUM thermal amplitude and MEDIUM exit velocity of pyroclasts. The volcanic tremor shows HIGH values. The number of VLP events showed HIGH values (14.8 events/hour). MODIS/VIIRS images showed LOW thermal anomalies (max 1 MW). SO2 flux shows MEDIUM values (117 t/d). The rockfall activity is LOW. The volcanic activity index is HIGH.
