In the last 24h, the volcanic activity has been punctuated by a major explosive event occurred at 00:17UTC of today that generated a VLP signal with amplitude of 4*10-5 m. and a deformation, recorded at OHO tilmeter of about 1.6urad. The event, localized at NE crater has a max infrasonic pressure of 200 Pa and, ultimately, was followed by a short-live overflows which generated, at 00:45UTC a thermal anomaly of 196 MW, recorded by VIIRS sensor. On a whle, the activity is characterised by Strombolian explosions and puffing, mainly located at the NE crater sector. Degassing activity shows HIGH values (puffing about 50 mbar) and the pressure of the explosions is MEDIUM. The volcanic tremor shows oscillation from MEDIUM to HIGH values. The number of VLP events is MEDIUM (9.5 events/hour). The SO2 flux, in the last 24h, was MEDIUM (93 t/d). The CO2 flux, based on the C/S ratio of 8.38 measured on 05/10/2024 at 21:20 UTC, is HIGH (1009 t/d).
